Internship TrainingWith a view further the training of students of Psychology, we at the Department of clinical Psychology provide structured internship programs. These are specifically geared towards exposing students to the clinical arena, allowing for hands-on training in clinical work under the supervision of Psychiatrists Counsellors and Clinical Psychologists.
The training program takes a comprehensive and multidisciplinary approach. The focus is on orienting students to psychiatric conditions, psycho-diagnostic evaluations, health psychology, clinical management of disorders, psychotherapy and counselling skills while integrating an academic curriculum with a skill-based training module. The program also allows for undertaking clinical research under the guidance of a supervisor along with exposure to our non-clinical initiatives.
These internship opportunities are offered to Bachelors and Masters students of Psychology and social work. The scope of the program varies according to the specific duration of the internship.
